Rebellinnen continues its journey in cinemas and galleries! And often the protagonists travel along. Synopsis of the film: „Tina Bara, Cornelia Schleime and Gabriele Stötzer are rebels. As young women in the 1970s and 80s in the GDR, the three are full of Sturm und Drang and without fear. They want to be free – and because that is not possible, at least make art that expresses what they feel. Their pictures tell in a touching way of their being at the mercy of a system that oppresses many young creative people. When the conflict with the state security escalates, they have to decide: Stay or go. Pamela Meyer-Arndt’s film provides a new perspective on the art and lives of these three fascinating women.“ (*artwork of the CD cover with the film soundtrack by Sven Grot, cover motif by Cornelia Schleime). _ April brings me to India, where I pay a visit to the Kochi Art Biennale and refill my batteries with intense Yoga and Ayurvedic treatments. I experience a beautiful concert by TM Krishna with the great violonist Akkarai Subhalakshmi and enjoy the sound collages of the diverse religions that coexist peacefully in Kerala. Back in Berlin, inspired, I start working on a new radio play and a theatre performance.
