October

We are excited about the release of the single *Alles Licht* on October 18. Written for grand piano and organ.

Every person has a story of the heart. And only those who know theirs can truly be happy.

For me, all my music albums are stories of the heart. They yearn to be experienced, seen, and heard. The composition ALLES LICHT was created during the pandemic years. At that time, I was searching for an instrument that could bring new sounds into a changed world while offering comfort—both for myself and for others. This is how I discovered the organ.

I began working on a cycle of pieces that express my feelings about the world and my thoughts on the gradual disappearance of cherished (natural) spaces, precious refuges, and biodiversity on our planet. The leitmotif of my new album, the Single *Alles Licht* goes back to the book “Alles Licht, das wir nicht sehen” by Anthony Doerr, for whose radio play adaptation I wrote the soundtrack in 2022. This book and the book Earth Emotions by Glenn Albrecht made a lasting impression on me. Both books accompanied me during the composition process for Alles Licht.

The full album will be released on November 1st, 2024. Stay tuned.

AND on October 8: I’ve been invited as a guest on the amazing GEMA-podcast „Hitsingle“! 🎉 I’ll be chatting with the incredible Tobias Reitz about music, life, our planet, philosophy, and so much more surprising thoughts/memories. Don’t miss out on this exciting conversation! 🎶🌍 Out in December 2024 🎶🌍

Also in October, the touching portrait „Überleben. Ein Arzt und sein Krebs“ will be shown on Arte and ARD tv. See under Dates. It is my fifth collaboration with filmmaker Volker Heise. With music that carries the audience through this difficult topic and at the same time gives the doctors and their work a sonic space. The film also provides a highly interesting insight into the working world of some of the best doctors in the so-called Mecca of cancer research and therapies in Boston.
