Time out in Denmark. I begin with a cycle of compositions for organ and grand piano. Like last year I am spending the summer in Denmark. This time with the access to small island churches to play the organs and compose. What luck. And in the evening I work as a juror. An intensive long-term work that I take seriously. What helps composing and thinking are long walks and nature observations. My excursions to Aarhus show me one of the most exciting European cities, life friendly, bike friendly, society friendly, modern in all ecological senses. I am reading Louise Erdrich #TheNightWatchman, diving into the world of native Indians, somewhere between poetry, fiction and harsh reality. Very moving.
