Composing for the image film #Soroptimist International. The filmmaker Ziska Riemann invited me to compose for her image film about the club of the soroptimist international. I did not know anything about this „club“ before: „Since the founding of the very first Soroptimist club in Oakland, California in 1921, Soroptimist International (SI) has sought to bring about change to the lives of women and girls worldwide.“ While composing I learned about the engagement of SI and am happy to support this film with my music.

Because of the pandemic, many events are taking place via the Internet. I am preparing an interview with the Journalist Ulrich Kriest. You may listen to it on may 21st here: ARBEIT AM MOBILE. Musik, Theater, Film, Literatur, Klangkunst – fast schon provozierend vielgestaltig und multimedial sind die Arbeitsfelder, für die Ulrike Haage komponiert. Selbst innerhalb der unterschiedlichen Arbeitsfelder sind noch erstaunliche Ausdifferenzierungen möglich zwischen Improvisation (Vladimir Estragon) und Pop (Rainbirds), zwischen Hörspiel und Hörkunst, zwischen Filmmusiken für Doris Dörrie oder Volker Koepp. Das Porträt fragt nach dem Selbstverständnis einer unabhängigen Künstlerin, deren Kunst auch darin besteht, all diese unterschiedlichen Interessen einem Mobile gleich in der Schwebe zu halten.
